Baltic Sea Cycle Route Lübeck - Stralsund (ca. 230 - 257 km)
A must for fans of the Baltic Sea. In 6 stages you will discover the entire coast from Lübeck to Stralsund along the Baltic Sea Cycle Route. You can also look forward to Travemünde, Warnemünde / Rostock and Fischland Darß. Marvel at old Hanseatic cities with their brick Gothic, lively seaside resorts with beach life, in between the vast coastal land and always a breeze of the Baltic Sea air in your nose.
Itinerary
- Day 1: Arrival in Lübeck
- Day 2: Lübeck-Wismar, approx. 58-76 km + ferry ride
- Day 3: Wismar-Kühlungsborn / surroundings, approx. 32-45 km
- Day 4: Kühlungsborn / Umg.-Warnemünde / Rostock, approx. 29-43 km
- Day 5: Warnemünde/Rostock- Ribnitz-Damgarten/Fischland/Darß, approx. 40-57 km + ferry ride
- Day 6: Ribnitz-Damgarten / Fischland / surroundings - Zingst / Barth, approx. 35-50 km
- Day 7: Zingst / Barth-Stralsund, approx. 42-57 km
- Day 8: Departure from Stralsund

Day 1: Arrival in Lübeck
On your own. Information meeting and bike handover (if booked). The lively old town of Lübeck with its alleys, churches and museums are looking forward to your visit.
Overnight stay in Lübeck.
Day 2: Lübeck-Wismar | approx. 58-76 km + ferry ride
You leave Lübeck for Travemünde on your own by train (-20 km) or bike. With the ferry you go on your own to the Priwall and cycle to the Baltic Sea resort of Boltenhagen. The journey continues to the Wismar Bay in the old Hanseatic city.
Overnight stay in Wismar.
Day 3: Wismar-Kühlungsborn / surroundings | approx. 20-43 km
A trip to the island of Poel? No problem, because this island is connected with the mainland by a bridge. Shortly before Kühlungsborn you will pass through Basdorf. Visit the lighthouse and enjoy the breathtaking view over the Baltic Sea. With good visibility you can even see the island of Fehmarn.
Overnight stay in Rerik, Kühlungsborn, Bad Doberan or surroundings.
Day 4: Kühlungsborn / Umg.-Warnemünde / Rostock | approx. 29-43 km
The highlights of today's stage are Heiligendamm, the oldest German seaside resort, and the Doberan Minster. Scenically, the ghost forest on the steep shore of Nienhagen is a special experience.
Overnight stay in Warnemünde or Rostock.
Day 5: Warnemünde/Rostock- Fischland | approx. 20-57 km + ferry ride
With the Warnow ferry (included) to Hohe Düne. If you want to learn everything about amber, then a visit to the Amber Museum in Ribnitz-Damgarten is worthwhile. Nearby there is a show apiary, where everything revolves around honey. Afterwards you cycle back to the Baltic Sea to your hotel on the Fischland or stay directly in Ribnitz-Damgarten in the hotel you booked. Overnight in Ribnitz-Damgarten / Graal-Müritz or on the Fischland.
Day 6: Fischland - Darß | approx. 35-50 km
Experience the fascination of the Baltic Sea. You will cross a part of the National Park
Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft.
Overnight stay in Prerow, Zingst or Barth.
Day 7: Darß - Stralsund | approx. 42-57 km
From the small Bodden and Vineta town of Barth, your journey goes along the lagoon coast to Stralsund. In Stralsund you can visit the OZEANEUM (under your own direction) and the Marienkirche.
Overnight stay in Stralsund.
Day 8: Departure from Stralsund
After breakfast departure on your own or extension.
