Your Douro River Cruise Ship ALVA
ALVA is a state-of-the-art river cruise ship and one of the newest addition to the A-ROSA fleet (built in 2018). With a length of almost 80 metres and just 63 cabins, the ship offers an exceptionally spacious design throughout its public areas.
Guests can look forward to a generous sun deck with a swimming pool (located on the upper deck), as well as elegant restaurants, a bar, café, lounge, and a sauna and fitness area.
The modern and comfortable Category A cabins on Deck 1 (12 m² / approx. 129 sq ft) feature a large window and are equipped with individually adjustable air conditioning, shower/WC, TV and hairdryer. The Category C cabins on Deck 2 offer the same amenities, measure 13 m² (approx. 140 sq ft), and feature a large panoramic window that can be lowered.
Important note: Only the terranova group is cycling during this journey. All other guests on board are regular cruise passengers and not part of the terranova cycling group. This allows us to enjoy relaxed and exclusive cycling experiences within our small group.

Cabin Categories
- Category A – Deck 1 (approx. 129 sq ft / 12 m²): Modern and cozy outside cabins featuring a large window. Amenities include individually controlled air conditioning, bathroom with shower/WC, TV, and hair dryer. Location: Lower deck – quiet and stable, ideal for restful nights.
- Category C – Deck 2 (approx. 156 sq ft / 13 m²): Spacious outside cabins featuring a large retractable panoramic window, opening downward to create an open-air balcony experience. Amenities: Same as Category A, with more space. Location: Middle Deck – excellent elevation and views.
- Category D – Deck 3 (Approx. 140 sq ft / 13 m²): Comfortable outside cabins equipped with a floor-to-ceiling retractable panoramic window, allowing fresh air and superb river views. Location: Upper Deck – bright, airy, and scenic.
- Category F – Deck 3 (Approx. 312 sq ft / 29 m²): Premium Balcony Suites with a private exterior balcony and expanded living space. Location: Upper Deck – ideal for maximum comfort and outstanding views.
