A special feature are the richly deocrated town houses and the film set of the now legendary crime series where Otfried Fischer starred as a police investigator.

Day 2: Munich – Murnau am Staffelsee | approx. 65 km

As you pedal along, you'll soon arrive at the tranquil shores of Lake Starnberg, where the sparkling waters beckon you forward.
Continuing along the lakeside road, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside as you make your way towards Seeshaupt. Here, amidst the serene ambiance of this lakeside town, you'll have the chance to pause and soak in the peaceful atmosphere. Following the gentle flow of the river Loisach, your journey leads you to the charming town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Nestled amidst the stunning backdrop of the Bavarian Alps, this picturesque destination offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and cultural charm.
As the stage is intentionally kept short, you'll have the option to embark on a memorable adventure of your own: a ride with the Zugspitzbahn, the cogwheel railway that ascends to an impressive altitude of 2,962 meters. From Scharnitz, you'll pedal uphill through wildly romantic gorges and lush meadows, immersing yourself in the natural beauty of the region. As you ascend, you'll be rewarded with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, with each turn offering a new vista to behold.
Your journey will take you to the source of the River Isar, a tranquil spot where you can pause and appreciate the pristine beauty of this iconic waterway. From there, you'll cycle back through a sunny valley, where panoramic views of the majestic Karwendel and Wettersteingebirge mountains await.
Passing through the charming town of Mittenwald, renowned for its traditional Bavarian architecture and artisanal craftsmanship, you'll continue on to your final destination: Wallgau. Here, amidst the idyllic surroundings of this quintessential Bavarian village, you'll discover a place where tradition is still very much a part of everyday life. With multiple cycling options available, ranging from a minimum of 20 kilometers to a maximum of 70 kilometers, you'll have the flexibility to tailor your route to your preferences and abilities, ensuring that your day is filled with unforgettable experiences and breathtaking vistas.

Day 5: Wallgau – Bad Tölz | approx. 50 km
Continuing on your cycling journey, you'll pass through the picturesque Isarwinkel region, following the meandering path of the crystal-clear, turquoise waters of Lake Sylvenstein. As you pedal through charming landscapes, you'll be mesmerized by the beauty of your surroundings. Your route will take you through the quaint town of Lenggries before finally arriving in Bad Tölz. Situated at the crossroads of two historic trade routes - the River Isar and the old salt route from Reichenhall to Allgäu - Bad Tölz quickly rose to prominence as a thriving trading center.
The town's ornate mansions, adorned with intricate facades and richly decorated interiors, stand as testaments to its golden age of prosperity and trade. As you explore Bad Tölz, you'll be transported back in time, immersing yourself in the rich history and cultural heritage of this charming Bavarian town.

Day 6: Bad Tölz – Munich | approx. 60 km
Following the Isar bike path from Bad Tölz, your journey takes you through picturesque towns such as Geretsried and Wolfratshausen, as you pedal along the tranquil banks of the river. With each turn of the pedal, you'll be surrounded by the natural beauty of Bavaria, with lush forests and rolling hills providing a scenic backdrop to your ride.
After a few short climbs, you'll find yourself back in Bavaria's vibrant capital city, Munich. Here, you'll have the opportunity to explore its countless sights and attractions, from historic landmarks such as the Marienplatz and the Nymphenburg Palace, to cultural institutions like the Bavarian State Opera and the Deutsches Museum.

Day 7: Departure or extension
Tour character: Overall, this is a rather easy tour. A few short climbs can be conquered easily by pushing the bike. You will cycle on beautiful bike ways and minor roads. Main roads will only be used for short distances. The route is mostly paved; some longer passages are on natural roads which are in good condition.
