From our charming countryside hotel, Fattoria San Lorenzo, you’ll explore the region on four varied e-bike rides through vineyards, olive groves, and historic hill towns. ITINERARY
Day 1: Welcome to Fattoria San Lorenzo
In the afternoon, your tour guides and host Isacco Scorza welcome you to Fattoria San Lorenzo near Grosseto. Optional airport transfers from Pisa are available at scheduled times. This evening, enjoy your first taste of Tuscan cuisine with a dinner featuring regional specialties at the estate’s restaurant. Overnight stay at Fattoria San Lorenzo.
Day 2: Picture-Perfect Tuscany | 32 mi (52 km)
Today’s route takes you through one of Tuscany’s most enchanting wine regions. Rolling hills, vineyards, olive groves, and medieval villages create the classic Tuscan scenery travelers dream of. After cycling through the Morellino wine region, arrive in the charming hill town of Scansano, famous for its excellent red wines and beautifully preserved medieval center.In the afternoon, enjoy a wine tasting at a local winery while admiring the surrounding countryside before returning to the hotel.

Day 3: Cycling Through Maremma National Park | 31 mi (50 km)
Today’s ride leads through the beautiful landscapes of Maremma Natural Park, one of Tuscany’s most unspoiled coastal regions. Cycle along quiet paths through Mediterranean macchia with sweeping views of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
A picnic (optional) prepared by your tour guides awaits in a scenic setting overlooking the coast. Along the route, you may spot the region’s famous Maremma cattle grazing in the countryside. Later, discover the historic town of Grosseto during a guided walk through its charming center, known for its impressive city walls and elegant cathedral.

Day 4: Around the Monte Argentario Peninsula | 30 mi (48 km)
Today’s panoramic ride begins in Orbetello, where a narrow causeway stretches across a beautiful coastal lagoon protected by the WWF. Cycling along the Monte Argentario peninsula, enjoy spectacular views of the coastline, hidden coves, and the islands offshore. The winding coastal roads and elegant villas reveal why this area has long been a favorite retreat for Italians and international visitors alike.
Dinner is served at a charming agriturismo featuring regional specialties and warm Tuscan hospitality. Overnight stay at Fattoria San Lorenzo.
Day 5: Off to Elba | 32 mi (52 km)
This morning, explore the beautiful medieval town of Massa Marittima, one of Tuscany’s architectural gems. Its historic Piazza Garibaldi and impressive cathedral create a memorable setting. Today’s ride continues through rolling hills to the charming village of Suvereto, officially recognized as one of Italy’s most beautiful villages.
Later, cycle toward Piombino, where a ferry carries you across to the Island of Elba. During the crossing, enjoy wonderful views of the Tuscan Archipelago. Upon arrival, a short transfer brings you to your 4-star hotel overlooking the Bay of Procchio. Dinner and overnight stay on Elba.
Day 6: Napoleon’s Exile on Elba | 11–15 mi (18–24 km)
This morning begins with a walk through Mediterranean landscapes (3 km) with beautiful sea views before cycling into Portoferraio, Elba’s charming capital.
Elba is forever linked to Napoleon Bonaparte, who spent ten months in exile here between 1814 and 1815. Visit Villa San Martino, his countryside residence, and learn more about this fascinating chapter of European history. Afterwards, relax at the beautiful bay of Procchio or return comfortably to the hotel by support vehicle if preferred. Dinner and overnight stay on Elba.
Day 7: Panoramic Tour of Elba | 29 mi (47 km)
Today’s ride explores the dramatic western side of Elba, where steep cliffs, dense forests, and rugged mountains rise above the sea. Following scenic coastal roads through chestnut forests and picturesque villages, you’ll enjoy spectacular views across the Mediterranean. In the village of Marciana, pause for a stroll and perhaps a cappuccino overlooking the surrounding hillsides and coastline.
After a thrilling descent with unforgettable sea views — and, on clear days, even views as far as Corsica — return through the island’s interior to your hotel. This evening, celebrate your final night with a farewell dinner at a seafood restaurant by the beach.
Day 8: Departure or Extension
After breakfast, return transfers to Pisa Airport are available at scheduled times (additional charge). Guests wishing to extend their stay on Elba may arrange private transfers through terranova.

EVALUATION: The total distance by bike and on foot is 278 km / 172 miles. We are cycling mostly on small rural roads. Almost all roads are paved. The landscape is sparsely populated and hilly.

We recommend booking flights to Pisa Airport via terranova. We would be happy to inform and advise you about the most suitable connections. If you want to book an airport transfer via terranova on the day of arrival and departure, please note the information below. In case you are travvling with your own group, we can also provide Airport-transfers from Rome and Florence.

At 2:30 p.m. you will arrive at the airport in time to catch the flights to the most important airports. Please plan your return flight no earlier than 4:30 p.m. In case you would like to stay a couple of days in Pisa or Florence, you can take the train or taxi from the Aiport to these cities.
