Helpful Tips for Group Organizers
Organizing a cycling trip for your club or friends can be both rewarding and surprisingly simple. Over the years, we’ve seen successful group leaders use a few practical strategies to build momentum and excitement.
Host an Informational Gathering
Invite potential participants to an informal evening — at home, during a club meeting, or at a cycling-themed event. A relaxed setting makes it easier to share ideas and answer questions.
We’re happy to provide:
- Digital trip presentations
- Detailed itinerary summaries
- Sample daily ride information
- Destination images
Clear visuals and concise information help riders picture themselves on the journey.
Share the Itinerary Personally
A personal invitation goes a long way. Explain why the trip excites you and why it would be special to travel together. We can provide a customized trip overview or digital brochure you can easily forward.
Stay Connected
Consistent communication keeps enthusiasm high. Share updates as plans develop — by email, group chat, or short calls.
- “We’ve secured our preferred dates.”
- “Half the spots are already reserved.”
- “Here’s a preview of our hotel.”
Even small updates help maintain commitment and anticipation.
Build a Broad Interest List
Start with cycling friends, club members, training partners, alumni networks, or your local community. Casting a wider net early on increases your chances of reaching your ideal group size.
Be sure to collect email addresses, phone numbers, and preferred travel dates — the easier the follow-up, the smoother the organization process.
